In a not-so-distant future, a strange miasma called "the Miasma" has spread across the continent, devastating civilisation and claiming countless lives. Everything humanity built has been swept away.

Those who escaped the Miasma have built new villages underground, where life continues — quieter, smaller, and a long way from the sky. But rumours of a beautiful world up above still echo through the tunnels. Drawn by hope, John, an earnest young miner, and Sam, a mysterious girl with strange powers, set off for the surface…
